Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.- The State Ministry of Economic Development made it official, Caterpillar’s project, which includes the construction of a new plant, was won by Nuevo Leon, which was competing for this project, as was Coahuila, and even the United States.
In detail, spokespeople from the Ministry said that works will start at Garcia Municipality, requiring resources for US$45 million.
The new assembly plant will be built over 250,000 square feet, where excavator cabins will be manufactured and assembled with state-of-the-art technology; in addition to running safety tests required by such cabins.
“This is part of the strategy we implemented to approach companies and meet their needs”, Federico Vargas Rodriguez, Minister of Economic Development, declared.
