Mexico.- Nissan Mexicana accounts today for more than 25% share of the domestic automotive market, after selling between January and July 25.4% of all the vehicles sold in Mexico. The Japanese company informed in a press release they sold 136,948 units from January to July, staying as leader for 38 months in a row.
Nissan’s sales in July, which reached 19,124 units, put the assembler above General Motors de Mexico, its closest competitor, which in the first seven months of the year sold 99,791 vehicles.
Nissan Mexicana points-out that models made in Mexico have been an important pillar for the company’s success; in July, 4,007 units for NP300 light trucks (Estaquitas) were sold.
