Mexico City.- Sharp Electronica Mexico’s plant located in Rosarito, Baja California finished last week the assembly of an 80-inch flat screen for the domestic and export markets, which will be sold at sales points late in October, Joel Hernandez, Commercial Director, announced.
This plant, specialized in manufacturing 40 to 80 inch LCD’s, which was inaugurated in October 2007 with an approximate investment of US$102 million and monthly production capacity of 200,000 units, will supply their new product to the Americas, he informed.
Mr. Hernandez said that no extra investment was made to produce the new product, for it was included in the plant’s initial projects.
