Mexico City.- President Felipe Calderon informed yesterday in his Tweeter account that Mexico went from fifth to fourth automobiles exporter in the world. “Mexico went from fifth to fourth largest cars exporter in the world; five years ago it was ninth”, he tweeted yesterday morning.
“We are now the fifth automobiles exporter globally, the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Ferrari, confirmed that data for the first quarter of the year have been published and yesterday we confirmed that Mexico is no longer the fifth vehicles exporter in the world, we are now fourth, we were ninth in 2006”, he added.
Carlos Guzman Bofill, General Director, ProMexico, also informed that upon closing the first quarter of 2012 Mexico ranked fourth in automobiles exports all over the world, according to data from World Trade Atlas.
