Mexico City.- As of this week and up to next October 6th, textile goods and garments from Colombia with Mexico as destination will receive preferential tariffs treatment, the Ministry of the Economy published in the Federation’s Official Gazette.
This arises from an agreement by the Management Commission of the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and Colombia, which adopted Decision 68, which grants a temporary exemption for the use of materials produced or obtained outside the free trade zone for this type of goods.
The agreement includes a sub-item in the list of goods completely made in Colombia with materials produced or obtained outside the free trade zone that observe rules of origin, as well as applicable conditions for preferential tariffs treatment, the Ministry of the Economy informed.
