Mexico City.- In 2012 automobiles assemblers will manufacture 2 million 403 thousand units more than the 80 million 100 thousand vehicles assembled in 2011 and Mexico will be a key player, after in the first 4 months of the year the number of vehicles assembled here posted a 15.2% increase. At this pace, Mexico climbed two positions, to 8th, in the ranking of Top Vehicles Producers, because its market was diversified for a huge growth potential.
Between January and April 2012, Mexican Automotive Industry manufactured 920,032 units.
According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicles Manufacturers, automobiles production throughout the world will go up 3%, a growth similar to last year’s to reach a record figure of 82 million 500 thousand units.
