Mexico City,- Last August income from exports reached US$19,399 billion, the highest amount this year, according to data from the Mexican Statistics Agency INEGI.This is the lowest year-to-year drop of sales abroad in the last 8 months, -24.9%, while in July the year-to-year drop reached -34.8%. The balance was favored by income obtained from the shipment of manufactured goods which amounted to US$16.207 billion, a 12.4% increase when compared to the average income in the first 7 months of the year.
A spokesperson explained that even if effects may be temporary, a gradual recovery is expected for exports.
