Veracruz, Mexico.- Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo and Veracruz ports moved more than 34 million tons of cargo in the first 6 months of the year, with 3.5%, 6.6% and 14% increase, respectively.
Lazaro Cardenas remains on top with 13 million 438 thousand tons moved in the first half of 2012, followed by Manzanillo with 11 million 553 thousand 129 tons, while Veracruz is third, after moving 10 million 590 tons of cargo.
As far as Veracruz in concerned, cargo moved in such term went up 14%, after going from 8 million 627 thousand 162 tons in January-June 2011 to 10 million 590 thousand in even term this year.
Lazaro Cardenas posted 3.5% increase, by going from 12 million 981 thousand tons in the first six months of last year to 13 million 438 thousand tons up to June this year.
