Mexico City.- “The new Distribution Center operated by Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila for Magna Motors is the first step for the expansion of the logistics services offered by the company, such as storage, border crossing, distribution, transportation and added values at this state with great potential in the automotive industry”, Reto Malfatti, CEO in Mexico for K+N, pointed-out. “We had been serving this market from Monterrey, now that we are closer we want to expand throughout Coahuila, offering our services for air, sea and ground cargo, in order to meet the needs of the strongest industry in this region: automotive”, he said in an interview.
He further informed that US$9 million were invested in these facilities, which lodge K+N and Magna Motors’ own radiofrequency and informatics systems. The center will be used to supply the customer’s production and distribute finished products in the United States, which cross the border through Laredo, Texas.
