Mexico.- For the first quarter of 2012, industry in Tijuana is forecasting the creation of around 2,000 new jobs, mainly due to companies expansions, according to a survey made by Tijuana Human Resources Association, Asociacion de Recursos Humanos de la Industria en Tijuana AC (ARHITAC). In their first meeting, Hector Guerrero Rodriguez, Chairman, informed the Association’s members about the results of the survey, applied to around 150 companies members of the Association.
“Around 2,000 vacancies are forecasted for the first quarter of this year, of which close to 60% are due to companies growth”, he said.
He cleared out that employment in industry has not recovered yet, but the figure does show great stability. In 2010, Tijuana hit record unemployment, reaching 7%, which remained at the beginning of 2011.
