Cordoba.- Marc Busain, President and CEO, Cuahtemoc-Moctezuma Brewery, considered that Mexico is a country with great strength and a very “promising” future, which encourages the company to continue investing here, as a way to contribute to its development. Taking into consideration the economic crisis in Europe, in addition to the demographic shift there, which has brought a reduction in sales volume, Heineken has set its interests in Mexico, where they have the opportunity to reach a one million new consumers market every year, John Botia, Vice-president, Brand Marketing, pointed-out.
“If we compare this population, with a decreasing birth rate, against a country like Mexico, where young people is on the raise and we could reach an average of one million new beer consumers every year, when they turn 18, it is clear that this will be an attractive market for Heineken. That is why the investment of purchasing Femsa’s beer interests was made”, Mr. Botia said.
