Mexico City.- Hutchison Port Holdings brought to Mexico the dock crane Gottwald GHMK 8410, the biggest not only in Mexico but in the whole Pacific Coast, from Alaska to Patagonia, paying MXP$71.5 million for it. Hutchinson Port Holdings informed that the equipment weighs 600 tons and is 22+ meters long. The crane will be installed in Ensenada International Terminal (EIT), and will allow the company to operate ships such as Super Post Panamax, that has capacity to carry between 4,000 and 13,000 TEU’s (measuring unit equal to 20 feet containers).
HPH Mexico has invested more than MXP$600 million in Ensenada port terminal and more than MXP$400 million in ECV, being one of the companies that have made the largest investment in Ensenada.
