Mexico City,- Guaymas Integral Ports Administration will soon inform Frontera Coopper Corporation, or Cobre del Mayo, a company based in Arizona, they will build and operate a fluids terminal in Guaymas, which will require a MXP$65 million investment.Jose Luis Castro Ibarra, API Guaymas Director, said that this company met all the requirements in the bidding and was the only one left, after Vopak withdrew its proposal when considering they would require more space to build the terminal.
He estimated that the terminal’s construction will be completed between next December and January. These facilities will have 4 tanks, offices and a loading and unloading area for auto-transportation over a 10,000 square meters surface not looking to the sea.
“This bidding speaks about the confidence American investors have to invest in Guaymas Port”, Jose Luis Castro pointed-out.
