Torreon, Coahuila.- The Private Sector is now carrying out promotion tasks to attract investments to the Region. Since government officers have failed to attract productive investments to the Region, the Private Sector Board for La Laguna Region, Consejo Lagunero de la Iniciativa Privada, decided to take action, competing against Nuevo Leon to make Caterpillar change their minds and decide to install their new plant in La Laguna Region. To such purpose, a group of businessmen have decided to donate to Caterpillar a 100 hectares plot, to install their plant in Matamoros, Coahuila.
The Chairman of the Board, Ernesto Llamas Sotomayor, said that an agreement reached during their ordinary meeting was contacting Caterpillar’s local CEO so that he will speak for the Region, based on the good results obtained in productivity, and make Caterpillar consider building in La Laguna Region the new plant currently planned for Nuevo Leon.
