Hermosillo, Sonora.- Due to the 25% increase in production by next September at Ford’s Hermosillo Plant, to reach 1,400 vehicles assembled every day; Intermodal Mexico (IMEX) will also increase their operations in Dynatech Intermodal Park Terminal by at least 60% and will reach 50,000 containers moved per year.
Hilario Gabilondo, CEO, Intermodal Mexico, informed that Ford will move their whole containers operation for auto parts, from the automotive yard in Hermosillo Plant to Dynatech Intermodal Terminal, and therefore Intermodal Mexico will make investments close to US$6 million.
He further explained that close to 3,000 containers are handled per month and they expect to handle 4,000 more with Ford’s operation; their operations include import and export cargo, to be transported by Ferromex.
