Chihuahua— Chihuahua State Governor, Jose Reyes Baeza, considers the business trip made to Europe to participate in the AirShow was very productive, because agreements were reached for the establishment of three companies at the State, and two more will be announced within the next few days, so the balance in favor at the State will be five new companies that will require professionals and specialized labor. He said that with this Chihuahua is one of the best positioned states in Mexico in aeronautics, aerospace industry.
“We already have in Chihuahua companies such as Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft, Honeywell Aeroespacio, which are making airplane turbines, as well as Zodiac and many others. But what is important now is that we keep on bringing these investments, because Chihuahua is already considered the State in Mexico with the largest possibilities for the development of aeronautics industry”, he said. The Minister of Industrial Development, Alejandro Cano, mentioned the three companies that have already been announced to start operations in Chihuahua. One of them is Manoir Group, a French Company, which will start operations this second semester. The second company is CAV Industries, an English company that also confirmed its arrival to Chihuahua City. The other one is the US-based Nordam Group. These three companies all together will generate between 700 and one thousand new jobs, and will invest around US$100 million.
“There is an element which seems a bonus to me, which adds to this value added, and it is the recommendation by companies already established at Chihuahua. It now turns out that our main promoters are companies such as Labinal, a French company, Cessna, Hawker, Honeywell; they all speak highly of Chihuahua at Aerospace Seminars”, Cano Ricaud said.
