Mexico City.- The fourth issue of the report Doing Business in Mexico 2012, made by the World Bank analyzes regulations in the 32 states affecting 4 stages of a company’s life: opening, obtaining construction licenses, property registry and agreements observance.
Indicators are used to analyze the economic impact of each regulation and identify the reforms that have been successful, where and why.
Doing Business in Mexico 2012 shows that all but one of the 32 states improved in the four indicators measured by the study, and for the first time the report documents business reforms in the four indicators mentioned above. Since 2009 up to December 2011, 64 new reforms have been documented in the 32 states; since 2006 the duration of the opening stage for a company has been reduced an average of 21 days (from 35 to 14), and the duration of the property registry stage was reduced an average of 17 days (from 46 to 29).
