Coahuila, Mexico.- In order to respond to the strong 50% growth in trucks production, which jumped from 110 to 165 units per day, a figure that should be reached by June, Daimler Truck (Freightliners) is generating 500 new jobs, to which purpose they have started the recruitment process.
“This increase is due to the excellent demand trucks assembled in Saltillo have in the United States and Canada, where they are selling very well”, a spokesperson said and grounded Daimler Truck’s success “on the quality of labor by workers from Saltillo”.
Aurelio Leal, CEO, Commercial Vehicle Group, one of Daimler’s supplier already installed in Derramadero, which will also increase its labor force with 200 extra workers, revealed that before the year is over Daimler Truck has plans to produce 210 trucks per day, which has also generated a clear dynamism in suppliers development.
