Chihuahua, Chihuahua.- This year 11 companies from the aeronautic sector will invest US$240 million in projects to open new plants or expand existing plans in Chihuahua, which will represent the generation of 2,000 new jobs, Gabriela Jaschack, Industry Promoter with the State Ministry of the Economy, declared.
She said that among the companies that will arrive to Chihuahua this year there are the Dutch Fokker, devoted to manufacturing empennages (aircraft tails); while the French company Safran will expand their operations at the state.
Qualified labor, proximity to the United States, technological universities and specialized research centers are among the main appeals offered by the State to aeronautics sector; in addition to fiscal incentives, such as the temporary exemption of Payroll Tax for newly created companies, reduced Property Taxes and special incentives for research and technology development projects.
