Mexico City,- The Mexican bakery, Grupo Bimbo, announced the construction of “Piedra Larga” Aeolian Park at Union Hidalgo, Oaxaca, considered the biggest in food industry in the world and where it will generate practically all the electric power the company consumes in Mexico.

With an installed capacity of 90 Megawatts, the Park will supply electric power to 65 facilities – production plants and other operation centers – owned by the company.

Grupo Bimbo pointed-out that this project represents an effort in the use of renewable, clean and inexhaustible energy, grounded on the company’s five environment sustainability pillars, which are saving energy and water, emissions reduction, residues handling and social responsibility.
