Mexico City.- The German assemblers BMW and Mercedes Benz are both planning to open a new plant in North America to expand their production capacity and Mexico seems to be the ideal place for this, after Audi’s decision to establish here.
Mercedes Benz confirmed their intention to open a plant in Mexico, to which purpose a German delegation is visiting possible sites for the new factory.
“As a matter of fact, some German executives are visiting several sites to assess the possibilities of building a plant in Mexico. They are considering several options, because there are many states that want this investment. That is the status right now; there is nothing definite yet; each and every choice is being assessed”, the Company pointed-out.
