Punta Mita, Nayarit.- Audi will start the construction of a new vehicles assembly plant in Mexico, where €1 billion will be invested to produce a new generation of Q5 ATV in a factory that will be Audi’s most modern in the world. This new factory will have an initial production capacity of 150,000 units per year. Its precise location in Mexico is expected to be announced by the end of this month.
Walter Hanek, CEO, Audi de Mexico, informed the above during the presentation here of their new Q3 ATV, which will be arriving to Audi dealerships in a few days. He further added that the decision to build this factory in Mexico was made based on the trade agreements in force, production costs, high quality of labor, logistics and Mexico’s geographical location, with coasts in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
