Tijuana, Baja California.- Considering the 40% gap between production and demand in aerospace industry throughout the world, in the second half of this year 15 companies from this field –including Boeing, Bombardier and Airbus– will visit Baja California to define expansion plans. Tomas Sibaja, President, Baja California Aerospace Cluster, informed this and explained that since aerospace industry is one of the most important sectors and clusters at the State, it has become a focal point for companies in the industry to increase production.
With supplies demand estimated in US$7,000,000, Baja California Aerospace Industry includes 54 companies that generate 14,000 jobs, 50% of all the jobs offered by this sector in Mexico.
In the second half of this year, 15 foreign aerospace companies will visit Tijuana to analyze the possibility of establishing here, Miguel Velasco Bustamante, Minister of Economic Development for the City Council, explained, and further informed that this is the result of the promotion trip made to London, England, some days ago.
