Saltillo, Coahuila.- Important investments will be announced in the next 15 days for Coahuila’s Carbonifera (Coal) Region, representing close to 1,300 jobs; work will also be made to develop supply SMC’s and the viability to develop a services cluster in this zone will be explored.
Javier Guerrero Garcia, Minister of Economic Development, said that they are discussing areas of opportunity with the Ministry of the Economy for promotion and jobs generation in sectors other than coal exploitation.
He added that this investment by auto parts sector, though he would not disclose the amount, means a consolidation because it is an expansion; they are also analyzing ways to consolidate jobs generation at three regions, namely Comarca Lagunera, Carbonifera and Acuña.
