San Luis Potosi, favorite location for industrial development

From 2009 to April this year, San Luis Potosi (SLP) has received investments per US$5.8 billion, for the establishment of 1,377 new companies and 97 expansions. In 2014, the World Bank considered SLP as one of the four more attractive states in Mexico to invest. It is Mexico┬┤s twelfth platform for manufacturing exports to enter into the international markets. The American Cities of the Future 2015/2016, placed the State in the sixth position on cost effectiveness and seventh in ease of doing business in big cities. Major companies such as BMV, General Motors, Goodyear, 3M's Center for Research and Technological Development and the Dominica Clean Energy Wind Farm are established in the State. BMW Group will invest US$778 million in its first assembly plant in Mexico, located in San Luis Potosi, which will attract new supplying companies in the short and mid terms. Recently, Goodyear began the construction of its tire factory, with an investment of US$568 million. The State ranks fifth nationally in the mining and metallurgical production and it is a real option for regional development.
