For our maquiladora forecasts, we use a 667-equation model that includes
exogenous variables of the United States and Mexican economics. This model is also
frequently enhanced and updated. Our maquiladora forecasts cover not only the
industry’s indicators at the sectoral level, but also include indicators by state
location. Our wage rate projections are by type of worker, by production sector, by
region, and even by city.
