Employment in Sinaloa improving

Mazatlan, Sinaloa,- In the last year Sinaloa has been able to recover from the jobs lost in 2009 due to the world financial crisis.

August indicators from the Ministry of Labor show that in the last year the number of jobs registered with the Mexican Social Security Institute, Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) went up 3.35%.

According to figures, in August 2009 there were 360,430 jobs registered at the State, including both permanent and temporary. A year later, Sinaloa now has 372,540 employed people.

Most of the jobs created are permanent, according to information from the Ministry of Labor. In the last year, 9,657 new permanent jobs have been registered with IMSS, which represents a 2.97% increase. From 324,961 permanent jobs in August 2009, the number of workers for even month in 2010 went up to 334,618.
