In fiscal 2000, our researchers turned out 8,200 inventions – an average of 33 per
working day and 10% more than in fiscal 1999. We filed 5,280 new patent applications
– 4,100 with the German Patent Office and 870 in the U.S. Altogether, Siemens AG and
its subsidiaries around the world currently hold more than 120,000 patent rights. |
