Powder Metallurgy Company was founded bay Larry Bobo after learning his PM trade with a West Coast firm, he launched Powder Metallurgy Company in Carrollton, Texas in 1973.

By 1980, Powder Metallurgy Company had outgrown its space. The firm was re-located to its present location northeast of Dallas (Lewisville), increasing the floor space by 400%.
