As an automotive parts supplier, Delphi manufactures and sells individual components as well as groups of components that are arranged either as modules based on physical proximity within a vehicle (such as an instrument panel), or as integrated systems that operate throughout a vehicle to provide a specific function, such as audio and braking.

Arranging our business into three sectors helps to simplify the management of such a diversified enterprise. Each product sector is managed by a strategy board or equivalent managing committee comprised of individuals that have responsibility for the profitability and cash flow of the sector's various product lines and businesses. Our three business sectors are managed separately because of differences in the nature of the respective product groupings.
