Monterrey, Mexico,- Polaris Industries officially announced yesterday they will transfer their operations in Osceola, Wisconsin, to Apodaca Municipality in Nuevo Leon, where they will invest US$55 million to start operating next March or April 2011. Othon Ruiz Montemayor, State Minister of Economic Development, said this is good news which helps compensate Delphi’s closing in Anahuac, also announced yesterday.

“Initial investment will be US$55 million, but it is expected to grow in the short term”, he said.

Andres Franco Abascal, Sub-secretary, said that Polaris will start employing 550 people which will produce ATV’s and SUV’s, such as Ranger side-by-side, most of which will be shipped to the United States and Canada.
